Patience
Best of luck with your search. I too was looking for a 2005-07 SL 65 last year. Not only did it have to be in great shape, it had to be silver/red (I'm in to history and those are MB's iconic colors). The red interior did not make this easy, but I did find several examples eventually. I did have a shop check out a 2007 in Atlanta last June or July, but they recommended I pass and I thanked them. I believe it had 42k miles. I later placed a craigslist search in all the Craigslist US cities list and eventually found my car. It took 3 months of waiting patiently due to unusual circumstances for the negotiations to be completed, but I'm very happy. Along the way, I saw multiple cars with charcoal or beige interiors with 40k miles and asking prices in the $30-35K range and some even under $30k. Patience, it is out there if you wait. Better to take your time now and be happy in the long term than to get a car quickly and be have regret in the long term. I love my car, good luck with your search.

2005 Mercedes SL65 AMG
I have a silver 2005 SL65 with 45k miles, still has 3.5 years left of a Fidelity Platinum warranty which is transferable to the new owner. In superb condition and all major work has already been done thru the warranty - mounts, IC pump, ignition coils, ABC etc. Runs very strong and no accident damage. Might be willing to sell it at the right price. Have not heard of one that still has any form of warranty!

Finally picked a car that I was looking for. It's a 2007 with 50k miles, black on black, with all major maintenance done. Drove it all the way from Michigan to Florida tonight with no issues whatsoever. Put 1350 miles total. I'm in love with this car now. Will create a separate thread for my future build. Thanks everyone.
