We did end up with that gasket. I was under the mistaken impression there wasn't one.
Today we finished buttoning up the car, got the Eurocharged tune loaded on it, car started up first try.
Had a little drama flashing, The shops battery tender **** the bed after having to put out 40A for an extended period, which apparently is how much my car wanted while flashing with the fan spinning like mad.
Then the fan started to do this partial ramp up thing, then die. Followed by the flash erroring out at the end. Checked battery voltage, 10V. ****. Grabbed a booster pack to keep more electricity in the system while we scrambled over to the shop next door to borrow their battery charger.
Tech then unplugged the fan (lol, why didn't we do this to begin with) and flashed again. Got a 'not all packets acknowledged' error. Called eurocharged, they answered the phone right away. Guy I talked to was knowledgeable and told me how to work around the error/warning.
Then got a couple errors about the TB, but referencing the instructions we had to flip a couple pins. Was able to clear the CEL/ESP error and it didn't come back.
Car started first try, didn't do anything strange. Didn't test drive / log yet.
Only issue we have is wtf to do with the two pcv breathers. There isn't a provision on the new Throttle body to connect it to. Currently we have it connected to a hose which exits into a clean 1 quart plastic oil bottle strategically placed in a spot I'm sure it will melt now that I think of it.
Played with the STAR unit I got, I think I figured out how to adjust the idle RPM when in drive and park. Didn't have the car running when I found that, so I'll have to come back to it.
No pictures today.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Interesting about the gasket, mine had the black silicone in it, and there were no signs that it had been touched since new. I just read that surge tank gaskets are only good to 14psi, maybe there was a similar problem with that one and they eliminated it.

Got my needswings intake and oil catch can installed today. They both look great.
I need to get my IC pump replaced. Found out its not really pumping anything. As I keep getting Intake temperature codes. I have an upgraded pump from EC I am looking forward to having installed. Why is it only the P030 cars you have to remove the bumper on?
Also the backlight on my star diagnostics laptop died. So I ordered a new Dell D630 and hope it will arrive 'soon'
