Dash leather coming loose
I searched (both here and google) and didn't find an answer.
I have a 2005 SL65. The leather (is it?) cover on the top of the dash is unglued and pulling back. I can easily stretch it to where it goes, but don't know how to make it stay.
Any suggestions? Is this a 'professional only' repair?
Thanks!

No theres no do it yourself answer. You may pull it back and glue down with some epoxy but its going to show. Even if shop removes it and reglues it I think it will show and other parts will start coming loose later. I think I would look for used dash on ebay or junk yard.

I've had leather lifting issues on my 2005 sl55. I use "shoe goo" glue. Works great on shoes and vehicle leather. Even used it to glue my door handle buttons back on.

On experience with other cars (not this one) but the glue that's available at the store is not as good as the glue that has to be sprayed with a professional sprayer and is only available to businesses. To get it done "right", I recommend a shop with a warranty/guarantee of not peeling back again.
