Command issues?
I got in my 2007 SL55 today, it had been sitting for about a week.
The radio seemed to be on auto "seek" playing bits, then silent, then playing bits again.
I switched from "FM radio" to "CD" but the same playing, silent, playing still occurred.
I then turned the Command off - the same playing, silent, playing still occurred - Even with the unit off!
I then rebooted the command and after about 5 miles of driving, the command functioned normally and I was able to switch between Audio, Nav, etc.
Is this an issue that happens when the Command unit starts to go out or maybe just a glitch?
Thanks in advance for any input...

Mine did something very similar the other day. I think it was due to the battery being low on charge, as I left it sitting for a week without starting it. Everything was back to normal after the car went to sleep and I restarted it.

I agree with Desired Speed
I have had my car in storage over the fall here in Vancouver. I would start up the vehicle every week and drive in the underground where it is stored. No place to plug in a trickle charger which sucks. I just decided to insure it and drive. One time I couldn't start it up after one week but it may have been two or more! So similar to your situation, my car would say "vehicle convenient features unavailable" This was because the battery is low. When I went out for the first burn, drove it about 10 kilometers and then everything works now. So go for a drive and give it time to recharge. After my little jaunt all is well and working as it is supposed to. At least I know my alternator is working

Thanks for the replies.
A few years back, the "convenience features are unavailable" light came on and I replaced both batteries. Not one issue since.
But it has been very cold here, and this could very well be a battery issue.
It was just so strange that the radio kept playing even after it was turned off. I posted because - if this has happen to me, it must have happen to others.
