Appreciate that ..... I have a rep for being very generous with my cars - from letting my friend's daughter take out my F430 and 599 the day she got her license, to throwing a young car photographer the keys to the 599 and F430 Spider and coupe and having a blast terrorizing the streets of Westchester and Greenwich - It is all about experiencing the passion and letting others do the same. Cars are made to drive - and drive hard - ain't no reason to let 'em sit.
Just bugs me when I try to share that passion and someone flames for no reason.
Cheers

I agree 100%, and good for you......
But curious -
the 599/612 is obviously very different from the 360/430 series, so I can understand the potential need for one of each, however having a Scuderia Coupe and Scuderia 16M Spyder seems a bit repetitive (to me) - no disrespect just wondering the reasoning for such a similar purchase ?
What colors are they ?
Thanks

Each a different car really - I am fortunate to have the ability to own and drive them. The SLS will be very interesting. Indeed, I am considering shipping my Scuderia to Laguna to back-to-back with the SLS in November - won't ever sell the Scuderia as I picked it up at the factory in Italy, so.....
Now, I am getting the jonze for a vintage 300SL Gullwing, so........

I only buy black as well...
Yes the 599 is a hell of a car, & congrats on the Italy trip/delivery - I'm sure that was amazing
You are correct, SLS should definitely be interesting. I'm not so much into older cars - even a pristine beauty like the Gullwing.
Take care

I think the new Ferrari 599xx would be a better comparision. It's suppose to weigh less and 700hp, not sure about the torque. Considering that the regular 599 can trap 129, the 599xx should be a beast.

Thanks. My number one car is the Scuderia. Hands down. Period. Road and Track supreme. The 16m is a bada$$ 'vert and I always like an open top car. It is also a limited edition and a bit special in that regard, But it is open top so I don't track it. The 599 is a front engined 12 cylinder monster (remember it has the Enzo engine). The suspension is the electromagnetic one (yeah, the same as the Corvette's) and it is a MONSTER - it is great to drive around town and into and out of New York City without getting too much attention - a true GT - really more subtle than the Scuderia in shape and approach - but when you drop the hammer - watch out! All are BLACK (as are all of my cars) - the Scuderia and 16m with dark silver stripes (custom from Ferrari not the stock silver)

looks like the internet world just got a little smaller!
Can u guys guess who not only is one of Jeff Roberts customers 10+ cars deep but one of his best friends also? Why yes that would be me!
Wait it gets better - CAn u also guess who lives in Greenwich?
RIGHT AGAIN! Deeroff supposed stomping ground.
So I'll fire up the Black and we can meet on Greenwich Ave for a Starbucks ok Deeroff? bring the Ferrari please.
BTW you might be the real deal but 3 yrs ago you were called out for the same thing and ridiculously embarrassed and banned on that Ferrari board. Coincidence?
Lets see.
And I just moved from Westchester so Im familiar w anyplace there too so we can meet somewhere in Westchester or Greenwich. Oh and BTW guys trust me there is no racing around Greenwich the cops are SWARMING here - within 3 weeks I had 2 motorcycle cops in my driveway who followed me home just from seeing my cars all the time and wanted to see who I was.

Also even if true, giving a 612bhp Ferrari to your "daughter's friend" is sure to please her dad....what a lying tool
Gotta love how these dingbats don't think to change their screen name. Clive from F-chat is worthy of our CSI....

SL65 VRP1000 and 20" Monolites
Old Thread
This thread is a little old, and definately took a weird turn there at the end..
Either way, there is a dealer that I know that is willing to take $50k off of sticker on their SL65BS.. Black on Black.. Real nice car.. never driven it, but it sure does look nice in the showroom..
PM me for the dealer and the salesman who can help you out..
Thanks

There are more than 5 of these still sitting on lots all over the place that I know of. Like New2this mentioned, dealers are willing to go 50K and below sticker to get them out of the door. Unfortunately, nobody is buying so they are really anxious to move their inventory.
MB expected many of these Black Series to be sold mostly in the L.A. to O.C. area, yet they can't seem to sell fast enough.

There is a Black/Black SL65 Black Series under sticker, 1 722, and 1 regular SLR sitting at MB of Buckhead in Atlanta. Went to get service a few weeks ago, and they were willing to deal on ANY of them. With the SLR's, it costs the dealers a lot of money to keep them around per month just in interest on floor plan financing. Serious cash buyers can get a REALLY good deal on any of them.

msrp for the sl65 black series?
haha
dealers are lucky if they can unload them at invoice...
for all intents and purposes the car is dead in the water. there is very little interest and it will only get worse.
two years from now when a 10k mile cars are at $100k - they might be good buys..

Either way, floor plan interest on that car (and you have two of them) is not cheap. Its probably costing them $10K a month in interest to keep two SLR's and a BS on the floor. lol

most new mbs in well-established dealerships are owned for cash. no floor plans on those.
and if there is a new black series or an slr on the floor- the dealer is well-established- otherwise they would never get said cars.

Yes and No. My dealer is the largest in the East coast and they have to deal with soo much inventory that it would be impossible not to floor finance
