I think it also unites members who don't normally get along..... we have a common enemy...posers who think that members on here are naive/stupid enough to believe the stuff they are shoveling...

Yes it is.
Not that easy though unless you are a repeat, high line customer.
The original poster description of "scraping" was a dead giveaway of his ignorance, that car is virtually impossible to scrape,I swear....

I am a young collector, and I have made the mistake of bragging on forums about my collection.... it is not worth it.. because there is always people out there that will not believe you or hate on you to the point where it makes you sick

best thing to do on these forums is not get personal .... no matter what people say they have - it doesnt matter .. thats all BS! they arent paying your bills anyway

but if somebody has hardcore...good facts about a car- thats what matters... to take that input into consideration and use it as knowledge for future reference... not to start a fight withsome over specifics of there story

who exaggerates...who completely lies....who really is a billionaire who really is broke...

who cares-- this is a car forum, people should stick to talking about cars and not get personal.... if you want to be on a personal forum try facebook or myspace.

Myspace FTW lol!!!

Yeah... I got ***** before for my age too. And then I realized, if it helps them sleep better night believing daddy bought me all my cars-- then so be it. Perhaps it angers them believing I've achieved in 1-2 years what they couldn't till their 40s-- I've even been called "new money"-- spare me.

If the person is young, in a nice car(s), and livin' it up-- it's usually at someone else's expense; or so goes the theory.

Huh...I came in late for this one. This reminds me of Marty and the CLK BS. Didn't Marty in the end prove he bought a CLK BS?

So, while browsing the net, I noticed 4 out of the 175 BSs made are listed on ebay...

It's been so long that I've been on this forum that I don't even remember what my username was, but I thought I'd find a good review of the car and came across this thread. Instead, I find a guy complaining that the car's suspension was too stiff??

The only person i know who got to "test" drive a SL65BS is one of my close friends who is a master tech and did the PPI of a SL65BS. The owner, did not even pick it up, he had his assistant come get it for him.

I don't think you can just walk into a MB dealership, even if you looked strapped for cash, and ask to test drive the BS. I'm sure you would have to have a long history with MB's to fork over enough money for one and would have enough credentials with the dealership to drive it.

The Black is simply awesome in every way, I love it.

I agree with the OP, very hard suspension, and very low, I actually got stuck on the way out from the garage, I had to get a couple of people to lift the front as I try to reverse out.

I did take it for a short drive but it was raining and i could not go past 3k revs without the TC cutting in, I was also scared of breaking the damn carbon spoiler!

I will post some pictures of it soon.

Paul

Out here in NY area, black colored SL65 Black Series sold below $250K with less than 50 delivery miles. These were mid-April and late November '08 built cars.

Not true. I've test driven a BS in Greenwich, nice car but not for me. I liked the idea of it has a daily driver but the suspension is ridiculously harsh in the city, the car seemed noticeably lower/bumpier than my SL63.

Not to mention MBUSA is practically giving them away nowaday. At MSRP, it's a rip off, IMO. Great car though.
