1998 SLK 230
Wrong Drag Link?

I went to replace the drag link on my 1998 SLK 230 (USA) today, but the replacement link end joints appear to be pressed in opposite than the should, as if the inside joints are suppose to be installed with the bolt/nut pointing down, instead of the original pointing up. Is this right, or did I get a wrong part? There does not appear to be enough clearance to install the link top down.

I seem to have lost my original registration, been lurking here for awhile.

The original is on the bottom.

Turns out to be the wrong part, purchased 6 months ago anyone need one of these? Wish me luck trying to exchange it.... deutschepartsusa doesn't seem to carry the Y1998 version.
