I've been thinking about purchasing a 2nd car as a toy and the R170 has been a consideration.
I found a nice 99 SLK230. The body looks like it is in great shape. No rust, however the rims have rash but that is somewhat expected based on the year.
The interior is blk and red and the red is somewhat peeling. How much would this cost to repair or could I take on this project myself?
The car has 172K miles, which is A LOT even for a mercedes. I'm worried about additional repair issues. Don't want to purchase this car to have $X of repairs soon after purchase.
The asking price is $7000 which I think is high for the year and miles. What do you SLK owners think? Just looking for some advice.
