That's the first SLK I've seen with the complete Lorinser exterior package (front apron, rear apron, side skirts, spoiler, speedster scoop, exhaust, and wheels). I wonder if it's got Lorinser interior and engine mods too.
Yeah, it's a little ricey (or would that be krauty). Lorinser is a big-name Mercedes tuner in Germany, but I've always thought their styling enhancements were a little overboard.
The biggest problem I have with cars like that is that for the money put into it, you could have almost bought an SLK32. Yes, I realize it's a pre-facelift SLK230, but there's at least $8000 in "upgrades" to that car, maybe alot more.

Do you want some sauce with that rice?
Man... i concur with the previous comment. Brabus i like... except for the excessive number of fog lights. Lorinser, they are the Rice... i mean Kraut of german automobiles.

countrybumkin, have you seen this picture before? It's the original SLK prototype from the Turin auto show in 1994.

BTW, those bulbous Lorinser speedster scoops are more than just awkward looking. You actually have to remove them to put the top up.

BTW, It's not actually the roof that's the problem. The roof panel clears the scoops easily, but when you operate the roof, the rear shelf flips up toward the roll bars and the scoops are in the way.

And yeah, I've always thought that Lorinser's body kits have never been too attractive... their rims are that great either... i'd hvae to vote for Carlsson over Lorinser...
There is 1 thing I like from Lorinser, and that is their FRONT (only the front) CLK DTM bumper... now that thing is sweet...
and this would be it:
