Hi Folks,

A good friend of mine has an SLK230 Kompressor. After going to a Jiffy Lube and the local Mercedes dealer she noticed a bad smell coming from the car. My first thought was a bad oil filter or the drain plug had come loose.

I jacked the car up and noticed a very neat streak of differential oil from exactly where the cat ended all the way to where the muffler began. I also noticed oil along very specific pieces of plastic and the undercoating. None of it consistent with a bad seal, torn boot or anything else.

Has anyone else seen anything like this? Photos attached..
