Drivers door won't stay locked

After locking the doors from the key fob, the driver side door will slowly unlock itself after a few seconds. The pin rises slowly and the door is unlocked. Is this a possible vacuum leak? Vacuum shouldn't be required to hold it down for long, it should stay down mechanically, Correct?

Update, I removed the door panel and lubed the only pivot point on the mechanism I could see and it's working now. With the mechanism buried inside the door it's impossible to see how it works or what problem the lube resolved, hope it's good for awhile....
