My Slk230 has 76k miles and wanted to change the oil in the trans since it was never done. Some have told me not to do it since it's been so long it can do more damage than good. I know the new 7spd require service done every 40k miles don't know about this trans.

Yes have it done,
doing nothing is the worse thing you can do.
