SLK 171 roll bars
Hi everyone my name is John , my wife has just bought some shinny new stainless steel roll over bars for her Black SLK has anyone got any detailed instructions on how to fit them ? I would appreciate it greatly ?
I found instructions for the old model however they seem completely different

I found this online. Hope it helps...the first link looks like the manufacturer instructions for the R171.
First make sure you have a lot of time. You will need Torx sockets or wrenches in sizes T15, T30, T45 and a socket or plyers. I recommend a flexible magnetic pick-up tool to catch bolts or tools that get away from you. It took me 6 hours over 2 days because I only found limited instructions. I have included those instructions as well as my own pictures that should help you do this project in less time, with less aggravation. The PDF I used was http://www.chromline.de/out/oxbasesh...1-buegel-e.pdf This will give you a basic idea of what you need to do. My pictures will show you more specific items with text. I tried to be a complete as possible. It will make much more sense as you begin to remove the parts. If anything does not make sense the way I wrote it, please let me know I will clarify and correct.
