Just bought a 2012 SLK!

My 2012 SLK350 has 2600 miles on it now and is 5 months old. The only issue I have experienced is a poor performing center dash speaker when playing audio books. It is such a minor thing that I have not taken it into the dealer for repair yet. Will wait until the scheduled maintenance visit. As for overall MB quality. My 2011 E550 has 14,000 miles with no issues whatsoever. The 2008 S550 that I had for over two years never had an issue nor did my 2005 CLK500 Cabriolet (except for a very minor seeping valve cover gasket that the dealer discovered during scheduled maintenance and replaced under warranty).

Since I posted a bunch of cranky complaints about my 2012SLK in autumn the beast has been working beautifully. But a lot of trips back to the service center had to be made--a new torque converter fixed the stalling and shaking problem, the back of the dash and consoles--everything--lined with felt, or so I was told, got rid of all the clicking and cracking that was going on, a side mirror had to be replaced because it was squeaking when closing (which it still intermittently does), but really my only complaint these days concerns the crazy low speed limits in and around Vancouver--just got my second speeding ticket since October!

Me too, I just bought my SLK 350! Got it last Thursday. Arctic White, Sahara Beige Leather, P1, Sport, Comand Launch Package!! Almost fully loaded. I skipped Magic Sky. If I want more light, I can put down the top. I think the roadster already has plenty of glass/light.

I would like to report that my 2012 SLK55 has been running flawlessly for 2,500 miles. Seems to be very well made IMO.
