KLEEMANN SLK55K8 runs 11.7 1/4 mile!!!
We delivered a customer's KLEEMANN SLK55K8 to the track last night and watched him run a killer 11.75 at 119.8mph! We were running BFG drag slicks on his stock wheels. This was the customer's first time drag racing any car. The car performed flawlessly and with some more practice under his belt, this car will be into the low 11s.

Derek's E55 (we installed the KLEEMANN parts on his car) runs on nitrous. He was at 11.6 if I am not mistaken not on the bottle. Derek also practiced tremendously to get that car dialed in. Our SLK customer has done 7 runs down the 1320 and 4 of them were last night experimenting with shift points, launching, etc., etc. He will only get faster. According to KLEEMANN, this is the fastest supercharged KLEEMANN car running right now.

2006 SLK55 AMG
hah
what i was trying to say was, that if a S/C V8 in an E55 can do 10.75 , i would expect a LOT better time from a s/c V8 in an SLK55, especially running at 596 HP! I'd like to see what the kleemann slk55 can do with nitrous

Nice run, I would have expected better times too. Chris, you guys should try putting more air in the front tires, and take out more air from the rear. This should allow the driver to gun it a little more from the line.

Great times for the SLK. I wonder where he'll be at once he gets more runs under his belt. 1.7 60ft times are pretty damn good.

2. The E55 has a supercharger and runs nitrous.
Who do you think is going to win? Let me give you hint: The guy running the 100 shot.

Trust me, Kleemann SLKs not only sound like the Devil's chariot (that exhaust is just too evil to be described), but move at a BRISK pace.

Does Kleemann have an options available that will lower the compression ratio of the N/A 55 engines? New pistons, head gasket, etc.?

Jeez!
Damn isn't almost 600HP is a 3400lb car enough?
The stock isn't enough for me but I know that anything over 550hp will be fine for me.

............very good 1/4 mile time. May help to remember that the Kleemann S7 and S8 models never broke into the !1's until the last 3 months when 3 of them did. E55 S7...11.97, C55 S7.......11.99, and now the SLK55 S8......11.75. All cars belong to forum members. The distinct difference is the awesome 60ft time for the SLK 55. The E55 and C55 did their 11.9 sec runs with 60ft times of 1.9.
