man, the car looks killer..

Any chance you could take a pic of it dead on from the rear, and low enough to show the width of the tires.

THANKS!!

Awesome Dinko!
Nice drops!! Look :v

Sad thing it rubs though. How is the ride compare to stock AMG spring? Softer?

I second that! Few other questions... Are they progressive springs? Do they settle at higher speeds? Are they as stiff as OE on corners? Does it rub on the inside or on the fender? Do you know what's the HRE offset?

Thanks for being the first slk55 with a drop. You're paving the way.

Sauceboy, I'll take pics in the next few days.....

dsb, zaint.... I don't know that much, the only thing I do know is that the ride is somewhat the same if not a little bit better on the softer side... but it may just be my brain playing with me. are they progressive? hmm.. i don't know that either.

I do know that at 100+ mph it felt like 60 or 80... not that I go that fast a lot

Guys, here's the scoop.

If you have 19's then don't even bother with these springs. I talked to chris and the springs will most likely be coming off. If you have 18's, I envy you at this point.

Who ever wants them I'll let them go for $200 shipped. By the time they're off they haven't been even used for a few weeks.

Let me know.........

Hope you will get rid of them soon. If I haven't gotten 19'' I would probably buy them from you.

Dinko,

Have you checked where the fender get rubbed? Inside or outside? And did you try to use different spring pads to raise the rear a bit?

I would think it be on the inside... I'm carless right now, just got in L.A. Once I'm back the car will get its attention. I have made up my mind and the springs are coming off, so I don't want to stress it anymore. Already $600 wasted on install & alignment and so I'm pretty upset about that.

Fast Cars!
Looks awesome. I don't understand why you are rubbing? we installed a set of Brabus springs on a SLK55 with HRE 449R wheels a few weeks ago and no rubbing at all.

Is it possible that rubbing are results from having the difference in offset sizes? I wonder.....

I think it's cuz he has the PS2's. When I was ordering my wheels, they told me 265 PS2's might rub if you lower it.

I don't have PS2's, I have Pirelli Rosso's. It would be nice to keep the set up, it looks killer and I'll save a few hundred in swapping the springs again. Neal, can you chime in brotha? Has the SLK350's that you guys did have rolled fenders?

I mainly notice the rubbing when I have a passenger and am going around a very sharp turn and when going over big bumps.
