the e service is not only routine maintanence. the car assyst give a list of parts that maybe need to be replaced such as sparkplugs, air filter elements, brake fluid. also your brakes need to be bled because brakefluid absorbs moisture that for small bubbles of water in the fluid and that will cause brake failure, and you don't want that happening when you are dicing bruce lee's so in his M3... lol. so maybe just take it in, let the dealer pull the service codes and sheet up for you and give you a qoute

not exactly but you were close.

Service E is just a cabin filter replacement, $50 cabin filter and an hour of your time.

regarding service

Hi, I have a 2005 slk55 reaching its 25,000 mile mark. When I bring it into service what routine maint. should be done and how much should I expect to pay for this service? Thanks.

Since you live in NY, get ready to bend over, lol, no one can answer your question, prices varies around the nation. Oil/filter change cost $75 here (MB of Westminster) and some cost over $250 elsewhere. Your computer will tell you what you need. At the minimum, get an oil/filter change.

^^^^ Yea I hear you.. I picked up the car used in 07 with 5k miles on it. I brought it in for service around 10-12k miles and just told them to do an oil change and it ran me about 100$ or so... So now that I am approaching 25kmiles im thinking I need more then that. All in all the car is running fine and sounds fine.
