think I saw one in Monaco
I was in Monaco last week and pretty sure that I saw one near the casino. Dark silver or grey. Front end was very long and rounded, very smooth lines. Was this possible?

The SLS is on a photo tour around the globe, so it is possible. The production starts in early 2010 with USA deliveries in late Spring 2010.
The SLS and SLR doors swing up quite differently, SLS opens up like a gullwing, while SLR is more like Lamborghini door mechanism.

ieb, how'd it look live?
They're all over (even in damn suburban NJ) these days as they do build-up; US marketing launch is in SF/Laguna Seca in a couple wks, so should see a bunch running around SF Peninsula shortly
I have yet to see it live, but suspect it'll be vastly superior to any GT2 or 458 from an engineering or driver's perspective (I'll drive it at launch; have one on order)
Have many colleagues (65 addicts) eager to get their SLS; I'll prob stay with my humble CL65 (or rather '11 S65 Coupe come Springtime), unless SLS is truly compelling, even with a feeble, no-tq V8 and a poss buggy DCT and SF/LA topography non-compatible ground clearance

wsh: please get one and I’ll forgive you for ditching the CL63 for the 65!
The car was totally awesome. I saw it as it passed on the street. The front end appears quite large and very impressive but fully integrated into the design that flows quite smoothly. I did see the doors and am sure that they were the gullwing. ***** 5 out of 4 stars.

As we all know some cars may not look too impressive in pics but look much better live. I am not too crazy about the SLS interior with a sea of plastic everywhere, lacks a feel of luxury.
But I should reserve final judgement till I see it in person.
