Looks like a tight road course. What camera did you use? If it was a gopro HD, you could have mounted it outside the car or up higher for a better view.

Hey thanks. 507 views and finally 1 comment. I figured I must have really screwed the pooch with this or something since it was my first time trying this stuff.

It was also my first time using the HD GoPro. I had nightmares of putting it on the hood or something and having it come loose and smashing into the windshield or something. I may try some other postitions in the future. I like the ones where people install it on the roll cage so you can see the driver plus the road, though hear that there are issues with not being able to see the outside very well due to exposure issues.

Now two comments, engine sounds fantastic. I've used the suction mount many times with my gopro up to 120mph so far and no issues whatsoever. Just make sure you suction it down well, but it's not rocket science. I am always scared to let anything touch my paint, so sometimes I'll affix to the bottom of the glass sunroof or inside on the back window. If mounted outside I will put it on the sunroof or on the side by the rear fender. I do have a permanent mount installed but it's practically invisible inside the fog light area. Te view is awesome for me but some say too low. By the way, if you have the new version with the external microphone jack, run a mic back to the tailpipes next time, the sound is amazing!!!

If you're apprehensive about putting the suction on paint, mount it on glass (windshield, etc). As long as the site you're mounting it to is clean it's not coming off.
