Yeah I did, the service advisor was pretty much clueless to it. I spoke with the sls mechanic and he knew right away what it was and flashed it. All it really does is allow for multiple downshifts, so you can click it 2-3 times and it will jump to that gear. Prior, you would click it three times quickly and it would downshift once. I'm not sure if this happened before because I didn't push it a lot before the flash, but now in manual mode it's a beast in first and second...wheels spinning and very touchy in the sense that a slight depress will make it take off. It's a free update so definitely get it. Sometimes you just need to show the service advisors how to do their job lol

I was able to finally get the update after I spoke to the sls technician at my local dealer but let me say thank you for your efforts on the private lounge. I Ike that MB monitors the site and actually listens to its consumers but I wish there was more involvement from sls owners on both forums. Seems it's starting to pick up a little but nothing compared to other forums for cars of this caliber.

The second owners will be someone like me, not super rich but, they can make it happen. A true entusiust that wants to connect with other owners.
The value for second owners is pretty incredible IMO. Most cars are still bascially brand new. The big hit is gone and the market has leveled. The new GT is no SLS. Different car for a different segment. This car (SLS) is PURE class. With only what 2700+ US SLS's made, the last handmade big motor, the first all AMG designed from a clean sheet of paper auto and F1 history...makes a decent pre-owned value. It is up to us on forums or other forums you frequent to "prop up" the value of the car. Get out there take pics post um every where! I'm not saying they will appreciate but, I don't think the second owners will lose thier *** on this car. And If I do..... I will do it with a smile on my face!

I think what we will see here is a lot of the SLS's will be coming off lease soon. That will lead to people who know how really good this car is be able to stretch a little to get one. I know the car I bought, that was the case. The second owners will be someone like me, not super rich but, they can make it happen. A true entusiust that wants to connect with other owners. I feel like a douche sometimes uploading pictures of the cars but sometimes they just need to be shared lol

+1!! I think it's such a unique car that the market will support current prices for a long time. If not, who cares! We get to drive a great machine for relative small depreciation...well for those who purchased pre-owned. I don't use Instagram very much but I have a few pics up of the car...@tjandegian

Ok so I was searching like I always do and came across this, looks super good for the price at $118,000. It has 19, XXX miles which is a little high or am I worrying to much on that as these are pretty well made...

Looks pretty good to me, I wouldn't be concerned with the mileage. You could probably get that for around 110 pretty easily. Are you going to trade anything in on it?

In Texas at least, pretty sure it's the same in California, if you trade in a car you wont pay tax on that trade. So say purchase price is 110k with trade in of 7.5k you will only pay tax on 102.5k instead of the 110k. Sometimes it's better to trade in a car rather than selling it privately for that reason. You may get 5-10% more selling privately but you'll just turn around and pay that in taxes. Trading in, in some cases, is actually better.

Ok everyone, I finally purchased a sls yay. After 3 days of time waiting with mercedes in thousand oaks I went for one near palm springs. I loved it! Got it for under 130k as well in that matte monza grey with 13,000 miles

As soon as I bought it I went to Chipotle and got attention lol love it and it actually scared me of how fast it went on the freeway. And newportsls, I wish I could but I'll be out of town this Friday and will be back the 28th...it's been years and way over due on seeing family. But I definitely want to get together for a drive or something
