Regarding 2010 SLS
Hey guys, an opportunity just knocked my door: the chance to buy a 2010 SLS. I'm not 100% familiar with the car peculiarities related to it's year of production. Anything I`should look in particular? Any warning advices? Please any info on that would be extremely precious, as the opportunity might not wait a lot.. Thanks guys!

Assuming the car is stock you should be good. Look for typical warning signs of abuse, though- lots of owners and relatively low miles, mismatched tires, things like that. If you have complete- or fairly complete- service records, you should have no issues.

Phew. That's a relief. Still quite a hard work ahead. The car is about 4000km (+- 2500miles) away. Gotta fly there to see the car. Gotta take it to the MB authorized dealer to SEE the car. The owner is just a very wealthy old man who "got fed of all the people withdrawing their phones to take pictures of me on that bloody car"... Can't really blame the guy.
It's apparently an Obsidian Black with sand interior... From the pictures I thought for a moment it was the designo woven light brown leather. Can't say for certain. I think the designo interior is only available with any designo exterior color? I'm not sure of that. Bang & Olufsen sound system + navigation system. No carbon fiber package, and as far as the pictures show, no carbon ceramic brakes
Will fly there in a couple weeks to see the car. Will keep you guys uptaded. I'm caught in a crossroad between a C63 BS in mars red and this SLS. Tough choice. Very tough choice.
Ps1.: I got some info from this catalog: https://www.mercedes-amg.com/pdf/eng...atalog_eng.pdf anything different from this catalog?

If it were me... unless I was certain the car wouldn't sell within the next couple of weeks I'd be headed to see it immediately.
The only "known defect" in the 2010 or 2011 is one wire involving the transmission. It cost me somewhere around $2000 to have it replaced after a warning light came on. It was fixed with a better wire in a the newer models. Nothing you can do about it though and you might never have a problem with it.
If the car has "speakers" (tweeters) in the dash by the front glass windshield, then the car has the upgraded B&O sound system, which was a very expensive option to add. (not worth the money, by nice to know about when buying a new car).
And the choice between a c63 bs and and sls is not tough at all!

Duly noted. Thanks for the warning. As for the choice, they're both amazing cars, with a completely different idea. Cheers!
I'm very eager to go close the deal and buy it, but the car is far from my place, and I have another trip planned (and all payed) for this weekend. It, unfortunately, HAS to wait a couple more days.
