Smart...for a week

Took my C class in for service last week and jokingly alluded that I would take "that" convertable as a loaner...nodding toward a modded SL. The girl laughs and says I can give you a convertable but not that one...Keep in mind I am 6' 1" and 250 lbs.... Anyhow, ended up driving a smart convertable for the entire week...instead of the day... and was surprised by how well it handled various driving tasks. For such a teeny, tiny car, I was impressed...not enough to give up my C but impressed nonetheless.

you mean they gave you a loaner car!!!!... whenever I take in my s430 they never offered one to me and I just assumed that this was the same for every other mercedes... I always end up renting some rubbish car from enterprise. Mercedes should be more like BMW on that issue.

I always get a loaner from my dealership, but have to book it in advance most of the time! The only thing they ask is that I replace the gas, which I do, sort of, mostly, well, once in awhile.

They've given me a new C300, VW Passat, VW Jetta, and once they gave me a CLK. Find a new dealer--renting a car from Enterprise is ridiculous.

+1. Every dealer I've been to has offered me loaners that were always MBs. I've had numerous C300s and ML350s.
