W212 intermittently shifts into park
Hi iam very new to this site but am hoping someone can shed some light on the problem I have.
I've a e350cdi w212 which I've had plugged to a star diagnostics machine and is coming up with no faults.
When you start up car from cold there is no problems
after 45min or so the problem comes, car will throw itself into park.at low speeds.
so far work carried out replaced the whole gearbox so we can count out that....had eis changed.. crank sensor changed and now just replaced intelligent battery switch and still having this issue someone pls help get my baby back on the road.

See this thread
[edit] seeing that you already replaced the EIS, I remember reading a thread about faulty soldering on either a front SAM or some other module but now I can't find that thread - do a search on the W212 forum

2014 E550-sold 😩
I don’t think the recent poster replaced the EIS. It’s probably that and has failed

When they replaced the whole transmission did that include the ISM? Look at the ISM for shifts that happen uncommanded and for shifts that won’t happen when you do command it.
