Vito dash shutdown on ignition

Vito dash shutdown on ignition
when it gets cold and i start the vito it starts without any issues but as the engine starts the dash console turns off and none of the indicators, lights, wipers, rev counter, speedometer and such work and after a shorty amount of time the dish console totally turns off as if the engine wasn't started. though it is still running.
If i don't start the engine everything remains active, it is only as the engine starts that it all shuts down. and after a few minutes idling if you turn off the engine and start it again they all work.
Please help

Had this same problem
Hello.
Was looking for solutions to my problems and saw your post, so joined to see if I could help.
I have many faults with my Vito.
One of them that is now fixed is the one you are having with things shutting down.
Mine started shutting down when running the progressed to shutting off the dash etc when the ignition was turned on.
On my van it was the Key and ignition that was causing it.
I had one of those keys with the chrome surround on them.
I sent the ignition and key away for repair, and they sent a spare key, which was the old type all plastic one, and that one has worked fine ever since, I haven't dared use the original one again.
There are mobile lock and key specialists who should be able to help you.
I was quoted £180 for a replacement key.
Hope that your problem is the same as mine as That was easy to sort one you know what it is.
