W210 R.i.p.

The aftermath of someone running a redlight. Fortunatly, I walked away. The rear damage occured when I spun and hit the signal pole. Time for a new car it seems.

Thank G-d you're ok. Cars are replaceable, you are not. I hope the other driver is ok as well. Gotta love how safe these cars are though, huh?

Glad to hear you made it out alright...That's a testimony to MB's safety!!! Those people weren't kiddin' when they said the W210 is the world's safest car!

Just curious, did any of your side airbags deploy?

Glad to hear that you are OK. The Mercedes W210 is the safest car on the road. Speaking of Salvage, what happen to your car afterwards?

Ouch! Good to hear your OK. Did your side air bags deploy in a collision like that? I didn't see them hanging. I would think from the rear door impact they would. What happens to the car now?

wow thats a bad accident. It looks like from the pictures the rear windshiled shattered. I thought windsheild glass doesnt shatter to protect glass getting in your eyes, but i guess not for rear passengers.

Very happy you are ok

damn, glad you're ok. I'm not surprised you walked away, two crashes in W210's for me, and both times I made it in one piece

Thanks for the comments.....I really feel lucky not to have been injured. The car that hit me was a Mercury Grand Marquis (totalled as well). None of the the airbags deployed in either vehicle....strange in my opinion. Now Im waiting on the insurance company. Ill pull the HRE's off as well as the Renntch cf airbox. Looks like the dealers here have a few 211's to choose from so Ill probably pick one up.

Glad you are doing well and that the car we own will do well is an accident. I was wondering how you like the Renntech air box and was there any Hp or noticeable improvment for the money?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your accident. I concur with the other board members that we are glad that you came out of it uninjured. Good luck with the insurance claim process and hope your next car is just as beautiful.

Good luck with your troubles again. If your HREs are unscathed and of no use to you on your future w211, I may be interested.
Thanks,
Adam
