Kleemann Headers question

So I just had to go to Australia to find Kleemann headers !!! Just bought these:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_500wt_1182

Cory says I would have to have the downpipes made ...I already have the Kleemann primary cats.....any pointers, advise, warnings???

you ought to replace the exhaust hardware (studs and nuts) and the gaskets. They are all cheap to replace.

Thank you Jeff , will do ... what do yo think , should I do the swain coating like you did before they go in ? How hard will it be to get the downpipes custom made ? These headers have been on backorder from Kleemann for over a year now so getting just the downpipes from them will also be out of the question I guess.

I have the swain coating and am very happy with it. Downpipes should be easy for a competent exhaust shop. You may want to consider upgrading to V-band clamps instead of the Kleemann 3 bolt connection if you are already having downpipes made. I'll probably upgrade mine eventually. +1 on the new hardware and gaskets as Jeff suggested.

Suicidal thank you so very much for the pointers and the links you provided ...this helps so much. I am waiting to see if by any chance Cory can provide me with a pair of downpipes , if not custom we go. I think given everything , Swain coating will be in order. Can you educate me as to the difference in hardware...V Clamps vs. the Kleemann 3 Bolt design ? The new gaskets and mounting hardware is a given... By the way, My resonator is already gone since last year , replaced by the X pipe, which I installed way upfront after removing the secondaries.. which means that everything will be new from in front of the X pipe to the Headers..including the Kleemann high flow Cats which I will finally get to use!! Thanks again for your help and guidance... and the madness continues LOL
