trunk and locks not functioning

Today after many times in and out of the car, I got it safely parked in the garage. I then tried the in car trunk release, nothing. Tried key fob, nothing. Tried pushing in the tumbler, nothing. Tired to use the manual key and it would not turn.

I checked fuses under rear seat all were good. I tried locking and unlocking but only the lights flashed.

After doing a little reading and a YouTube video, I found out what the PSE pump is and where to find it next to the battery. All looked undisturbed there. I wiggled the electrical connectors and the pump kicked in, locks worked. Trunk still stuck.

During this time I had sprayed some unfreeze agent in the trunk lock. Since the door locks now worked, I tried the key once more which it finally gave up and let me in. At this point, every lock and trunk works.

Part of that YT showed the vacuum line that goes into the engine bay. On the passenger side, there is a connector that is broke. How necessary is that line to this really neat PIA system?

If the connector that is broken is in front of the duo-valve, that line provides the vacuum for the flapper valves under the dash for your AC and heat.

Yep, that's the line that is broke. My PSE Pump doesn't make any noise anymore too. All fuses checked out good for the pump.

Where does one buy those connectors? Been looking online but have had to resort to patching it together.

Read the thread. Don't bother with the connector. Repair with piece of vacuum line.

Here us my repair. Still waiting for caulking to set over night. If it doesn't seal, I can try again.

I don't think the line you repaired is connected to the PSE system. Your PSE pump times out after a while if it runs too much due to a leak/break.

Yeah, I only repaired what was visibly broke there. Pump instead making any noise anymore.

I am also replacing the brake light switch today. Getting BAS/ABS malfunctions
