Many things could cause this, "MAF/CPS/TPS/throttle body",

prefer to diagnose the car, codes will help to narrow the issue..!

If battery in doubt, replace it. Key on, turn steering wheel lock-to-lock (full left, then full right) to reset the steering angle sensor. If power is lost, this sensor's left and right values are no longer in the computer memory; you must re-set the new left and right values in memory by turning the steering wheel.

Next, find a full diagnostic system and clear all stored and current codes; After that, drive car for a day or two, then re-scan for current codes. Fix those problems.

A standard OBD-2 code reader only reads the ECU, not the TCU or any other system in a '99 W210. You must use the 38-pin connector under the hood with a Xentry or Star diagnostic system.

Good luck.

esp abs bas Lights, sounds like a brake light switch. My 2001 had same issue. About a $25 part at the dealer in about 20 minutes to replace it. Switch is found behind the brake pedal arm.

Low voltages play havoc with this car's computerized control systems. Verify electrical system functionality, connect a Xentry or Star diagnostic system, clear current and stored codes, drive a couple of days or until the car malfunctions, recheck for current (F) or stored (f) codes.
Loss of power can be associated with a bad Mass Airflow Sensor ($117 USD) but you will just be throwing money at the car until you connect a diagnostic system! Don't guess!

The brake light switch is a cheap and easy fix. That is what cured my light tree. It is what triggers the brake lights. Mine started acting up one day, found articles here or in another site. Replaced and it hasn't come back.

Your power loss issues I would say are not related to those lights on the dash.

As stated, there are many sensors on these cars that can be a pain. For the past year, I get told to check washer fluid level every time I start the car. I also get P0455 error of a gross leak in fuel system if I fill the tank(no, not topping off) and drive for am hour. Sit idle and low fuel flashes and check engine. I power off, hook up my odb2 scanner, turn to on and erase the code. PIA....but car runs great and I never see or smell a leak. Way too many sensors. I am sure there is a fix but haven't found it yet.

Buy a good code reader, keep it in your car.

It only causes some lights to come on on the dash. Buy a spare because they go out. I only had my 2001 E55 for a year and a half and I replaced it 2-3 times during my ownership.
