having mine done now. do you know there are like 13 different style nuts that hold the door panel wood pieces on? dealer charged me 1000 just to take mine off and put the cf ones on for all 4 doors. here is my shifter cf. note the missing cup holder cover. had a problem, sent it back and to cover the stock aluminum basepalte with 2 layers of cf is $75. but i did the work to scrape/sand/pry off the old wood down to the bare metal. if you did that on the shifter yourself (very easy to uninstall/install btw) shouldnt be more than 3-500. my guy did the 70 hemi cuda in cf that sold on barret jackson for 500k btw.

If you decided to make the grille, please make sure that it would work with cars with Distronic. Thank you.

Do you know how much? I won't reinvent the wheel if it is a good match to VRUS' airbox coming out and if the price is decent.

Dude, the Distronic is too hard to incorporate correctly. I wouldn't be able to guarantee anything. I am hoping to make one that has less slats, so we get better airflow (yes it does matter), so I don't know what that would do to the distronic. If it was just a CF version of the OEM look, then it would be easier.

Just make sure that it doesn't block the sensor is ok. The stock DTR grille has a clear portion for it.

Not a problem with blocking. The object is to have LESS in the way, so your sensor will be more exposed. That is the part I do not know about. One of the SDCrew has distronic, so I can do a fit test and let you know.

Great

With regards to the engine cover, I think it was along the line of 699 with the CF'ed stock airbox.

Any Grill other that a STOCK MB Grill made for Distronic will show a error...it must be a Clear shot for the radar sensor...NOTHING Blocking it....

I Made a CF grill for the car...It wont work now since Distronic was Installed

Mark,

Was that a regular stock grille or one of your one off wonders?

I would love to get a Brabus style grille, but I also want DTR on my car
