Question E55 Fuel tank or pump problems

My E55 seems to run out of fuel at a half tank. As soon as I put more than a half tank in it is fine.

I think it has something to do with the left and right hand parts of the tank and the pump or some connecting pipe to fill the second half on the move, but don't know exactly how the system works.

Recently it got to a quarter tank and all seemed ok, but suddenly the car stopped. Put 1 gallon of gas in and still the same. Then filled the tank over half full and it ran perfectly. Can't work out if it's an intermittent pump fault, fuel line blockage or relay failure.(or something completely different)

Anyone know how the e55 AMG fuel system works or anyone with any ideas??

New e55 owner- Please help

My former 06 E55 had a loose connection to the fuel pump causing a similar intermittent problem to what you have mentioned...
