I want to thank everyone for joining us and making the trip fantastic. I hope everyone had fun, and I really think that the world wide standard has been set for an MBWorld meet from here on out.

Here's a few details from the weekend. We first arrived late Friday evening, just in time to check in to the hotel and grab a beer at last call. Saturday morning we had a very fancy breakfast(never thought of putting avocado on an egg sandwich), then took off to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There, we were ushered onto a bus, and taken on the requisite lap around the track at a super slow 30MPH. We arrived back at the museum and were greeted by Howard, a fantastic older gentleman who obviously loved his job. He walked us around the museum, answering any questions one might have. After about 30 minutes, we were walked to a locked door, and asked to put away all cameras. Howard tells us that what is about to happen is something that happens so rarely, that even he was shocked to receive his orders for the day. Howard then escorted us down a hallway, down a locked flight of stairs to a long hallway to an obviously large dark room. With a few breaker throws, the room came to life to reveal the private collection of the George family and a few additional cars. There were actual pace cars, old F1 cars, old Indy cars, a few rail cars, and a slew of historical and priceless cars featuring a Jaguar XK120 with 6400 miles on it, an MB 220S, a 500K, a Rolls, a Cadillac 16, and even a Bugatti race car from the 1930s! After the hour and a half of just sheer amazement and emotional impact of the intense automotive history of the world tucked away for only a select few to see ever, and it didn't take long for me to realize that we would probably never ever get to see these rolling pieces of art again, that most likely we would never get to go to the basement again. I can personally say that I knew what was going to happen that day, and I was still overwhelmed by the experience. After we walked back up the stairs, we filled out waivers and proceeded to take our cars to follow a pace truck out and onto the track! We were actually allowed to take our cars out and do a lap on the historic IMS! After that, we headed out to Brown county and after an unusually long lunch, we took a nice drive through the twisties. Back to the hotel to freshen up and out to St. Elmo's for a wonderful steak dinner. The night concluded with a few drinks at BLU. Thank you to Jason for helping put this together, as there is no way I could have done it all from Chicago.

I think the only way to top this weekend will be to have Samas get his hands on an old Soviet cargo plane, load it up with our cars, and head to "The 'Ring" for some hot laps.

Great video! It reminded me of Indy....I used to run the Indy 1/2 Marathon and part of the route was down and up the same entrance and around the track just like you guys did! I always wished I was driving instead of running though!

Thanks for sharing.

alright guys - i came to an epiphany...

we need to start a proper midwest club...not just a meet

im talking shirts, events etc - much like this weekend.

if we (nick and jason) can do this much on our first get-together, think what we could do as a group and with more members...

we need to set up positions, titles etc and delegate duties

what do you guys think?

nothing ever got big without first being little...

I am down and would like to help out. There's nothing like 5,000 HP rolling down the highway!

hands down was one of the most beautiful things i've seen, experienced or enjoyed in a long time...

i cant wait to see some of those photos you guys took...post the damn things i didnt take any! (trying not to crash while filming and driving with my knee...)

anyone interested pm me and we will try to find a time in the next month or two to all get together and go over our strategic plan...

this should be fun - just think of the possibilities...

i just met a guy today who wholesales and designs apparel for tons of fortune 500 companies (also the president of the jesse white tumblers)...

That was pretty funny. By the end of the night, we had established to these women that SaMaS was a Steel Magnate, Aleksandar was a huge liqour distributor, I was unemployed, and Nick had a car collection to rival that of Mr. George himself.

Sounds like a trip to Vegas, honestly.

Thanks again to nick 55 and j 2001 for what was unquestionably a world class car meet. It had everything, and honestly you couldn't have asked for it to have worked out better - perfect weather, convenience, etc. You guys are a class act and this type of event should be used as a benchmark for all other big meets. It will be hard to top.

Great video Chris. The one song that comes on midway through the video... you should set the whole video to it (and just tone it down when we get to hear that great sounding 63 engine)
