Bluetooth stays ON

Is it normal for the bluetooth puk to stay paired with your mobile device even after you turn OFF the engine, exit and arm the vehicle? I always have to manually turn OFF the bluetooth on my iPhone to disconnect. If not, my iPhone stays connected to the bluetooth Puk when I'm in my family room.

Do you have 6-cd changer in the dash? Try pressing that button. Most probably that door won't open either. I have that thing all the time, after I get low on battery and get a jump. I think you have to reset the audio unit from the back; at least that's what the dealer told me.

Yes, it's normal. The electronics in the car will go to sleep after about 3 minutes and it will disconnect automatically.

Thanks for the clarification, what about what archangel100 mentioned? Also, where in the manuals does it mention the 3 minute sleep?

yeah it a pain in the neck, You hear your phone ring, they you answer it saying "HELLO HELLO" only to find out you're still connected to Bluetooth. I already have a million and one issues with my Motorola Droid having a mind of its own. So I need more issues like I need a hole in my head.

If you hold down the "Tel" button on you radio for 3 seconds it will terminate the connection and turn the bluetooth off. To turn it back on, simply press the "Tel" button again. Hope this helps you out.

Question answered, I had the same problem with the car off and on a hoist. I was wondering whose phone was ringing and it was the car.Now I do not feel so stupid.

SA just told me that the bluetooth PUK will disconnect after 15 minutes if there is no activity. For verification, I tested it out once today and it appeared to work.

I just find it to be a pain that the bluetooth stays paired with the device unless you manually turn OFF the bluetooth from the mobile device or turn OFF TEL from the Benz.

Bluetooth

The bluetooh will stay on untill you turn off the radio by pushing the power off button after you have turned off the car and exited. You dont have to turn off the bluetooth on your phone. Try going in the car and just push the radio power button and push tel and your phone will work without turning on the car. Im not sure for how long but i have tried it for 25 minutes and it was still going.
