holly crap michelin pilot super sports!!!
Guys by far the best tires iv ever ran.I can't explain them.they are twice as smooth as the invos with twice the grip in the corners.
The best way to describe them is like driving with cup tires on my m3.
Im blown away by these, michelin has surpassed the ps2 in every way.it rained today and the car felt glued to the road taking a corner exit.
Awesome tires but 305 each for the 275/35/18 is a stretch but there worth every penny

Glad to know somebody here now has these tires
I hear nothing but good things from people on the P-car forums (even though Porsche hasn't officially N rated them yet.)
After I go through my existing PS2s, they will be my next set of tires. PS2s have always been worth the extra $$ to me, so the Super Sports are a no brainer, imho.

Im running on a 9.5 in rear width wheel and I can't remember if the stock is 8.5 or 9.5
I have no issues at all and was going to go 285 but I would of needed a wider wheel.

Cool... I'm just about through with my Contis (sport 2?).... What a garbage tire.
Even under about 1/3 throttle they spin and refuse to grip... I'm already tired of watching the blinking triangle on the dash and I've only had the car for a month.
Sounds like a fresh set of PSS tires might just change the whole character of the car.

If you want to play it safe(and save a little)you can always run the stock sizes and go with a 245/40/18 in the front and a 265/35/18 in the rear.

I am. They are a truly an impressive tire all around. They grip like heck, give instant steering feedback, and have a smooth ride. I was also surprised at how quiet the tire is over all types of road types. The directional tread tires tend to be very loud but these are some of the quietest tires I've run.

I loved the PS2's so I imagine the Sports are even better.
But, putting on a new set every eight months at those prices is just crazy so I did my research and went with a set of the Hankook Ventus V12's at around $600 for all four and I'm real happy. The ride is as smooth and quiet as the PS2's. Traction not quite as good but the trade off is longer wear which is OK with me.

RE: PSS
Thanks for posting the PSS feedback. Everything I've heard elsewhere has been positive about them.
I love my PS2s, but will get PSS next time; looking forward to it.

I'm torn right now.....
Should I buy the PSS and just stick with the stock size rears (265s) on my factory 18's.... Or should I pick up a set of the CLS500 split-spokes (also 18" but with slightly different offset) and go for a 285 setup instead? I think the CLS500 wheel is either 1/2" or 1" wider than the stock E55 rear wheel, so the wider tire will fit without looking ballooned over the rim..... I think Shardul runs this setup and claims no rubbing even with the extra meat out back.

Greg if your happy with the stock wheels go with the 265 in the back. The price goes up big time for that next size tire.
You should meet up with us at the dragway this Wednesday also with your beast.id love to check it out and see what it runs being stock.

I know.... I know.....
The problem is that my current tires are so bad that I don't have a good frame of reference for how a 265 "should" grip the road..... Maybe with a sticky Michelin PSS the 265 will be enough, but I seem to read a lot of guys here consider the 275 to be a better match for the E55 power delivery. Once you start modding, even 275 may seem too narrow.
I'd love to come out to the track and meet you guys. I have NEVER run the 1/4 mile in my life, and that would be an absolute blast to try....plus I'd have some helpful people giving me tips so I didn't end up running 16.50s all night!! LOL
