I had been trying to track down an exhaust leak on my E55 with no luck for the past few weeks. Had a crack welded on my drivers primary cat, less of an exhaust leak, but still no luck.... Had another crack welded on my secondary cats, no luck. Had my drivers primary cat checked and rewelded with no luck.

Finally decided to pull my exhaust off for a close up inspection, and found this:




Completely broken off of the manifold.

Guess that explains why I was never able to track down the leak. It was the last thing I expected to break, especially since my car has the stock/OEM manifolds.

Are you tuned? Low timing causes high exhaust gas temperatures that can cause cracked manifolds.

What side is it? Kauve might have an extra manifold from when one of his broke and I gave him both of mine. Should be easy to find take-off somewhere around here.

Man screwwww Justin I wont help him hahaha kidding, I told him I have one but I think its the passenger side and his is the driver I told him to check both out and hit me back up..
