W211 E55AMG Side Mirror seal gaskets...
After doing some research on these damn gasket seals for the side mirrors everyone has the same story "You can only get them if you buy the base assembly!!" which costs about $250+++ which is ridiculous per side too...does anyone know someone that might be able to get me some or even know an aftermarket vendor that might distribute for the W211...I mean its ridiculous that they have it for the W220 and some other models but not the W211...please help my car looks hideous with those dry rotted seals...thanks

i was able to locate them for 210s even though i heard the same (complete
unit only). let me dig around and see if I get lucky on a part # for you
found this for the 210.
close up
there is a similar part # but with 211 prefix which i see in the MB Parts List, but i'm
not seeing any pictures anywhere, even when googled. I see 2118110298 but no
confirmation that this is the mirror seal (aka gasket) that you seek.

W211 2005 Side Mirror Seals Part Number
I can see from post above (by raymond-g) that the part number is molded into the rubber seal.
If I follow the you tube video I could probably take off my mirror and figure out what the part number is for a 2003-2006 W211 side mirror seal gasket.
Does anyone have a spare 2003-2006 W211 mirror they could look at and tell us the seal part number on the rubber? I have a 2005 E320.
I see from other threads, that given the part number I could order it from the dealer for less than $10
or http://www.primepartssuperstore.com . I have read that the dealer will not find the seal unless they are given the part number to search on, and will try to sell the mirror assembly.
Thanks,
Will

Hi guys, I can get a pair of gaskets but they take about 2-3 weeks to get here. I just used them on mine. They are factory part that have been taken from new disassembled mirror assemblies. I can pass them along for $160 shipped. PM if you'd like me to get them. Thanks, Steve.

I bought 2 power fold mirrors from nordstromauto on eBay for less than $400. That included new gaskets. I'm betting they would sell you 2 gaskets for less than $100.

Well, the gaskets are'nt sold seperately so they may not be too interested in breaking up a part, but it's worth a shot to ask. Do you happen to have a link, I could'nt find them on ebay.
Thanks.
Thanks.

How do you know you have bad ones? Do they leak water, wind noise, mirror rattle around? Anyone try getting a sheet of this foam and cutting out your own set? For these insane prices I'd try that first.

How do you set up a switch for the power folding option on the set that nordstromsauto is selling? I'd really like a set of power folding mirrors if I could get them to fully function. Does anyone have the part numbers for the switch?

/\ Agreed, you'd think after this much time that they'd be available. The place that I've found them before was on ebay at http://myworld.ebay.com/pamela123knitting/
By the way the W203 gaskets are the same as well as the R class. This person above is completely dimantling parts and selling them bit by bit, so maybe you'll find just the part you need instead of an whole assembly. Right?
