It's called Bosozoku, or something like that. Completely whacky.

I suggest having some of these on hand before you watch this, regardless of age.

Sexy cars, they're all prestige, luxury and exotics. The finest in craftsmanship and refinement, demonstrating the pinnacle of human technology as of yet and for many centuries to come

I love it for what it is... Most people don't have any idea why the Japanese do it... But it's a rolling rebellion against the strict social disciplines of the Japanese Government... So each member tires to do something even more annoying to the general public's eye... I love **** that has meaning.

Not my cup of tea for sure, but they are interesting and I respect that they make their own trends and don't care what's currently cool.

Love those soda straw cold air intakes and exhausts. Venturi San principle? Like snorkels onGwagens.

Seriously there was a proposal in the EU a decade ago to require exhausts that high to reduce pollution to pedestrians, and Porsche , if I recall correctly , actually built a prototype 911with them.

Did they mix the wrong sound in? Like, from a Motocross competition or something?

TGoss..those car sound like Rotary powered cars pure fun.

1.3 liter of pure fun. Rx7 1.3 making 600 WRHP 2600 lb rear drive ..YEA that will make you need new undies.
I like my ricers and that is where I will always be. AMG are great but different class of cars. We should just enjoy it for what it i. Guys who like cars. Remember Drifting...now look at it.. So we might be seeing it soon in the states.

I love both my FD rx7...maybe trade for a supra...

These guys get it! Bosozuku is all about rebelling. I personally think the cars are ugly as sin, but if the mods are done well, I can't hate.

From Wikipedia

Quote:
Bōsōzoku also have a distinct style of car modification, eponymously called "bōsōzoku style".[4] These cars are often modified with large exhaust pipes, bright paint, and large aero kits, the latter modelled on Group 5 “Special Production Cars” of the 1970s.[5] Also popular are oil coolers or less commonly large turbo or supercharger intercoolers with highly polished tubing, usually mounted in a prominent position in the front bumper.[6]]
