MB Media Interface Possibilities

Looking at possibilities to improve the COMMAND interface and add more capabilities... and came across this info on the MBUSA website

so this means everything is "optional" on the W211 - correct?

not sure how to check for P01 or P02 though...

That is 09 onwards. You'd have to upgrade your Command to an 09 or newer to get the media interafce!

I thought the MY09 meant that as I couldn't find the P01 P02 on anything but the '09 and up models...

probably best to find a good aftermarket COMMAND with android

There a guy that I've used in our dealership and retrofit the OEM command to use the up to date system. He's very professional at what he does..

AT what cost? I would estimate a retro fit of COMAND NTG including a new AGW and labor would be north of $3k.. There are plenty aftermarket system out there that are better than NTG 2.5.

If the aftermarket looks good, that's cool - just don't want to put a regular stereo with a scosche plate to be honest

A good installer will build something for you. I had a buddy who carved a new wood trim piece instead of an abs plastic

I don't think an iPad could fit in that space - could it? and even if it could, it probably couldn't interface with the dash, etc... (not yet at least)
