60hp recovered from dead IC pump to updated Bosch pump?

Before:

371 hp, 411 lb

After service during which MB replaced pump with the most updated Bosch pump:

432hp, 454 lb

NB: a new OEM torque converter was swapped in between, but shouldn't have made a diff?

the torque converter (if bad) would have not been putting down optimal power as well - but nice gains in replacement!!!

.
Interesting...

I'd always wanted to see a before / after dyno for the IC pump swap.

That's the cheapest 60hp you'll ever buy!.... What, about $2/HP?

Sorry, I only have the AFR from the first pull, as the wideband's connection to the dyno was kaput during the second session.

I was getting jerky stumblin' when I go on boost at low revs/low gears. Apparently there was some TSB issued, and the stealership just robbed MBUSA of $2000 and installed a new torque converter under the extended warranty. They first changed the tranny oil/filter, but obviously that didn't do much. It's better now, but certainly not worth the tq converter swap.

(Note to those who may eventually read this when/if I sell the e55 wagon: 50% of commonly failing parts on my car has now been replaced under warranty. I think the only thing isn't new are the airmatic shocks)
