Dealer quoted $1500 engine mounts

Went to dealer on Saturday for some service since I have Chrysler ext. warranty. Heck, my SA called and told me need to change 2 engine mounts and 1 transmission mount and not cover by Warranty. They quoted me $1500 to change those. How much you guys pay for indy shop ? I thought Chrysler warranty should cover almost everything in the engine components. AC fan not cover, Dynamic seat pump not cover.... so whats really cover ?? Since i purchased my car never success in any claim with Chrysler. Paid $3k so waist of money.

After market warranties are mostly a scam. I pay $100 for a pair of mounts( ebay), and 1.5 hours labour to replace with my indy.

I spent about $200 in all 3 mounts and swapped them out myself in about 1.5 hours. Very easy if you have stock manifolds. Not so easy if you have headers.

Anything above $600 total ( using oem parts, if using non-oem parts then $400 ) would be considered a raping imo.

Get the parts online for a couple hundred bucks and find an Indy that will do it in about 1.5 hours...
This is the reason dealerships are losing customers

$400 for 3 engine mounts and 2 tranny mounts installed at my Indy shop. I will never go back to the stealer after they told me they needed to replace my entire intake manifold at a cost of $3500 and my indy ended up fixing the problem by replacing two valves and a pump for a cost of $300.

My Chrysler warranty paid for one bad motor mount and two lower ball joints. I just had to pay the deductible.

The only reason i took my car to dealer is because Chrysler warranty. When i bought the warranty they told me that i can do the repairs in Indy shop and they will send inspector. Last time I took it to a indy shop, Chrysler did not accept. This is BS from Ext warranty company. You know, I wasted $3K for this Shiit ext warranty. People were afraid of Airmatic suspension that cost $2K for the front but now with new arnotte solution for $1k. Even you can find a used engine for $3K this days........ F the ext warranty.

See this is what i don't get it. I didn't believe my SA so I called them myself. They said is not cover. You know what, it all depends on who you talk to. Sometimes they say cover sometimes they say not cover.......
I can understand my Dynamic seat pump not cover but Fxck..... even engine mounts are not cover...... next time, i will have the money in my pocket and I decide what to cover or not by myself.

Since not cover by warranty i didn't even ask the dealer for the price. If i decide to fix it, i will have indy shop to do it. I love Dynamic seat but I can live without it. Last time i remember Tbal got the new pump as part only for $500+

Tell them the seal on the motor mount failed and the internal hydraulc fluid leaked out. Seals are covered.

I think I paid $180 for two motor mounts and a transmission mount and I had them replaced pretty quick by the fella I used to use here in town.

Tell those jokers to go screw.
