Melted fuel pump relay??

Just found my problem finally of the car dying. My relay and socket were melted. Should I be looking to replace the fuel pump as well? Am I assuming correctly that the pump is drawing to much current causing this or there another cause? Just want to get the root to this problem fixed if one is known so I don't have to deal with this again.

This!

My E55 had an intermittent stalling issue that was cured with a new relay, fuel pumps, etc.
