Rolling test up to 130~with stock e60 M5 . E63 couldnt pull away.

Hi guys ~ I was on my way up to the infeneon race way up at SONOMA. with my friend who has E60 M5 with stock ECU stock air filter with Xpipe and eisenmann race end, 20 inch forged 3p wheels. As we did a rolling from 50miles up to 130 we went side by side. WTF???? I thought 63 is way faster from the standing still to rolling . !! No???????? I mean I did start from 4th gear and M5 was at 3rd gear with D5 Setting. I'm on my way to take out the straight pipe where stock H pipe used to be and install X pipe. My car is dead stock apart from sec CAT and resonator removed .... Looks like its getting close to do a ECU re flash... Then again I thought stock E63 was faster enough to beat stock E60 M5 .

From a dig, it's hard to beat an AMG because of the TQ difference. We did a 50-160mph last Saturday night and it was about a 2-3 car gap towards the end (he fell behind)...I'll try to upload the GoPro video on my youtube account.

You started in 4th gear? At 50mph couldn't you have been in a sweet spot in 2nd? SMH LOL

4th gear lol try second next time and you should put 2-3 cars by 100 and the m will slowly catch up by 140.

why would M5 slowly catch up ??? Because of high rev engine?? I mean 63

more horse power and more displacement.

You might like this. It's not an E63 but the second run is from 50mph-150mph and I was in 2nd gear. My car has the camera. And these are the two fastest E55's in South Florida.

The mod list was pretty unclear so here's a better depiction of our run last Saturday since a few things have changed since the video posted:

E60 M5 (6speed manual)
- 21" forged wheels
- 1 passenger (115 pounds)
- RPi Scoops
- BMC Air Filters
- Block-off plates
- 2nd cat delete (section 1)
- Meisterschaft X pipe (section 2)
- Meisterschaft GT2 Exhaust (section 3)
- Macht Schnell Pulley

08' E63 AMG 7spd
- 2nd cat delete
- Custom X-pipe
- K&N drop-in filters
- 20" Vossen wheels


We ran from approximately 50mph both in 2nd gear. I accelerated about half-a-second after him so he pulled 1/2 car length immediately. Here's what he said regarding that race:
- M5 pulled from 1/2 - 1 car length every time he hit redline at about 7000 rpm (my redline is 8250)
- Towards the end (140mph+) the gap was increasing (M5 pulling away)

He's a good friend of mine, so it's all in good fun. But my meth cools my car to the point, it has 549whp @ 6500 rpms. But like I said, it's all in good fun.

When I was bone stock m5's were not a problem for me to beat, and after i did my pulley 5 cars lengths was the outcome on a modified m5's. Most people with e55 need to learn to drive properly IMO. Just pressing the gas is not enough, you need to be in the right gear, mode, and IATs as cool as possible.

clearly he was not in the right gear but he does not have a e55.

I think M5 and E63 would be some what even since less TQ on E63's end....I think a 55k was murder M5 (stock vs. stock)

God dxxm your car sounds like god !!!! will my 63 make the same sound

if I go primary cat delete with muffler delete???? Right now I have 3 inch

X pipe where the sec cats are and its mixing hell a lot of gas and AMG V8

sounds are gone...

You have a bigger engine than I do, so if done right it should sound nastier than mine. Remember I have EC long tubes, 3 inch pipes, magnaflow x pipe, no cats, no resonater and NO mufflers. Some people don't like it but I do.
