I would only suggest it with a water/meth system, otherwise you'll probably loose power from all the heat.

I figure I've put 7K miles on the car - not sure how old the belt is anyways - so a $30 fix is pretty cheap and good insurance if the belt is older

sometimes under hard throttle the car seems to 'back off' a bit and can't quite place the sound, but it's not squealing...

I keep a spare belt and the tools to change it in my trunk... LMK if you want to pop one on your car real quick.

I'm new to the E55 performance and find it strange that I almost never see any Pulley/psi increase listed. if i get an EC blower pulley, how much more boost will I see and when.

Smaller supercharger pulley is equivalent to about a 168-170 crank pulley. If you search you will find lots of info on that set up.

Hello MBworld, i am brand new to this fourm. I was hoping to get some feedback from you all. I purchased a stage 1 package from Eurocharged for my 2006 E55 and waited almost 2 months to get my parts "issues with their supplier they said" Well i finally got the parts "not what i origanaly ordered but was ok with the pullies they sent me 172mm vs 180mm. Had installed at the local Mercedes dealer and experienced a front main seal leak the following day. Mercedes took apart again and found that the milling on the pully was of poor quality and they had to take the groves off by hand with sandpaper which took 4 hours of their time. They called Eurocharged and they said that they have had some issues like this, yet this was not explained to me that this could be an issue when i purchased. Just courious if anyone else has had this happen? Car is done and the guys at EC worked with me do to the issues of waiting so long. BTW, the car runs like a bat out of hell....
Not slamming them just want to see if this was a one off or common with this companies products? I have a buddy wanting to do the same with his 2006 CLS 55 yet this has him a bit freaked out.
Thanks All

Jake who was super to work with said they did not have an ETA for the 180mm pulley, also said that the heat build up from installing 180mm pulley would be an issue thats why i excepted the 172mm pullies. I had the TCU, ECU, Pullies and Johnson pump installed. Jake said that the 172mm Pulley would be better for me for the fact that i did not have headers and the more eficent intercooler and that heat build up would lessen if i did this instead. My intentions for asking this question were to see if anyone had this issue of an oil leak after installing EC pullies. I got the car back from the dealer yesterday and all is good now yet it cost me 4 additional hours of labor to correct.

It sounds as if you were raped by the dealer. The pulley has nothing to do with sealing the engine, so if you really had oil leaks they were not from a pulley.
If you had oil leaks (e.g. from valve cover) and the dealer fixed, well then great.

He said the front main seal went. Does the pulley sit in the front cover? seal. I haven't torn into this engine enough to know what it looks like down there but usually a balancer will go through the front cover and through an oil seal. If that's the case it seems there was some sort of an edge on the pulley that cut the seal and caused a leak that they had to sand off.

Other than the numerous spelling mistakes, I think I understand your post.

Thank you sir, not sure if I'll do that again on that road, based on how hard I hard to brake. The rotors were literally glowing afterwards and I was consumed in a cloud of brake smoke. (160 MPH - 0 MPH in .2 of a mile) Amazingly ABS did not trigger so the brakes were still doing fine, it wasn't panic braking.
So I think my run was one of those, "Check that box" sort of life moments. Plus I'm afraid without a rail and new injectors I'll risk the motor if I do it again. Almost 13,000 youtube views though, how cool is that!
Thanks again.
Alex
