@MilesTJ
What OIL are you running?

Im running synthetic 0w-40 Mobil 1

I heard some people recommend Amsoil and Royal Purple and also to run something like 10w-40 or 5w-40

but i just go with what the dealer tells me

i think you're gonna head "M1 0W-40" from everyone. Good stuff, always available, maybe just change it a little more often if you wanna feel like you are doing good things for your car. I do ~7500 or so, which is about 3-4 mos for me

Hm, I guess in the warmer areas and during the warmer months a 0W can be on the thin side. Do you know if Mobil1 5W-40 is still listed as "european car formula"? Does the little sub-name really matter?

0w-40 is what NEEDS to be run per factory....If you think changing the viscosity of the oil is a minor thing, think again. The 0 weight for start up is great (nice and thin to make sure everything is properly oiled) and there is no reason to change to a 5 weight (unless you are in an emergency pinch). Once the oil reaches temperature it is operating as a 40 weight.
