Location and cleaning Purge Valve on 2007 E63
Hi,
I just got 2007 E63 and went to the dealer (ray catena mercedes edison ) to change oil and check why I have check engine light is ON.
They told me that i need new purge valve and front/rear oxygen sensors replaced. I want to try to clean/check purge valve myself first.
Can somebody please help me to find Purge Valve on my E63.

What were the P Code for the CEL?
How many miles on the car?
I have 70K plus original O2s and I cant see the car needing all 4...
Smells like BS...

Purge valve is located behind the intake at the rear of the engine. It is not a serviceable part and one person on here managed to cut the old one out and replace it without removing the intake. There is almost no room to do it this way. If your purge valve is not squealing, it is still working. If it is squealing, try pulling the dipstick out while the engine is running and see if the squeal stops. BTW, what code is your vehicle showing for CEL?

Gas cap on tight
check for any Vac leak.
I had the same issue the fix was the oil filler was not turn on all the way.
Also the dip stick had pop up. I since then bought the new replacement and the problem was solved. The original dipstick has issues and MB has a replacement.
if your is popping up replace it and clear the code...It might fix the CEL

P0444 is the code for the purge vent valve.
Y58/1 (Purge control valve) : Open circuit / Switchover valve permanently closed (P0444)
Possible cause:
Y58/1 (Purge control valve)
K40/4f44 (Fuse 44)
K40/4kK (Engine electronics and chassis relay)
