I can't take credit for discovering this since others prompted me to do this. But I did not easily find a confirmation of part number anywhere. So put it here for other's reference

Crank position sensor -
OEM is Bosch - 0261210170 (molded on original MB and replacement part), just $38.73 shipped including taxes from Amazon! Amazon actually says it does not fit E55, they lied + $4 for E8 1/4" socket = Happy E55 owner
Parts.com - MB part number 0031532828 - $108
MBPartsworld - $150

There wasn't actually anything wrong with mine but replaced it as maintenance. 15 minutes. Old one keep as spare under passengers seat just in case

Has anyone else bought these? I bought a bunch of these since the price was reasonable. They appear to leak or at least the copper washers are leaking pretty badly ... yes I snugged them pretty tight.

that belt does not fit with the smaller supercharger pulley. I tried myself and it was about an inch too short.

it's the size that was recommended by Shardul if you don't have the pulley kit - the 505 fits with (what I think is) plenty of room... I usually lock the 17mm wrench open with a teeny allen wrench to hold the tensioner open and no issues

the 496 is .9 inches shorter than the 505

but some have said my tensioner looks to be a little closer to the s/c pulley than others

the vendors flip-flop prices based on demand, etc - you're right, currently the rotors are pretty inexpensive on parts.com - just remember shipping and tax costs as well - Prime on Amazon sometimes beats out the lower price on other sites just due to free shipping!

Part Number: 2304210712 brakes, brake components, front brakes, rotor E55 $94.80

Part Number: 2114231112 brakes, brake components, rear brakes, rotor E55 $75.60

Well, I ordered a set last december and they were the same price.

Just make sure you include your vin when ordering anything from there.. they even ask you to.

When I first ordered they send me the wrong rear rotors... once I gave them the vin it was all sorted out.

Always checkout mymercedesparts.com in general their prices appear higher than parts.com at first but once shipping is added I find 80% of the time overall mymercedesparts is cheaper .... Especially if you need something shipped 2 day.

not sure if that's correct... my dealings with them was to pay the ebay listing price and refund the core when they receive it - the cost includes the core - obviously if you don't return them you get charged $400 more
