Has anyone ever raced any Bikes with their E55 AMGs?
Just wondering if anyone has ever raced any bikes with their E55 AMGs. If so what type of bike? What type of race (roll/dig) and up to what speed? What upgrades do you or did you have? Lastly...the result (win/lose) and by how much? :-)
Thanks,
Bryan

I've had a few run-ins, all I think were highway pulls, but I know nothing about crotch rockets so I couldn't tell you much about it other than the E55 holding it's own.

Having owned a highly modded E55 as well as a handful of 600 sport bikes, I know that with exception to some highly modded E55's, if we win we beat the rider not the bike. A competent rider on a modern 600 should easily take down all but the fastest 55's. Don't even think about a litre bike!!

I tried a newer R1 the other day from a 40mph punch. Yea, bad idea hahaha ... guy was cool as hell though, we got off the same exit and chatted at the light, complimented my car and said it's a gorgeous beast.

I raced a few 600's a few years ago and could beat all of them and I raced a friends 1000 and he got out good on me but around 170 I got back around him. GPS said I went 182 before I shut it down. All races were from 60ish and yes a 1000 isn't really a race with the power they make and a good rider.

WOW! I wonder what amount of mods it will take to compete with and/or beat a 600cc. Thanks for the input guys! I'm trying to talk myself into getting the tune/pulley upgrade (my buddy with a CLS55 is also thinking about doing the same) for my car. Just wondering if I'll notice any difference. What amount of mods would it take to beat a Z06 Corvette?

The only chance you will have is against a 600 or an older 750, anything else you will loose. The best way to have a chance is to start at 100mph, under that speed the bike will get out on you. We race all the time and usually by 130+mph you'll be passing them.

I've raced a few r6's and a ninja 636 with my S600. All highway runs and pulled on all of them. 1000's are a whole different ball park. My s600 has a tune, he, pump and a few other mods. Basic stuff. My e55 has a 172 (I think, came that way) he, pump and will hold its own against the s600 but the s600 is faster.

FYI.. Modern sport bikes(stock) with a good rider will do the 1/4 in
600cc-high 10's
1000cc-10 flat, maybe high 9's
0-60 times at 2.5-3 sec, I think a car has a better shot at a 60mph roll start.

My 55 is stock but an exceptional rider on a mid-2000's + SS would be high 10's if the conditions are right. Full second + faster, but a mid-10 55? Yeah, it'd get the very best 600 rider and some bad liter bike riders lol.
I love my R6 but SS's and SB's are too much for the street most of the time, especially tuned. My flashtune with some mods is almost impossible to ride under 40. The 4 bangers get sluggish quick though. A 60 roll is still first gear though, that's a bad idea. Maybe 100 or 130 ish lol.

From a dig, there's absolutely no chance in beating a bike... from a high roll though, things change. I've taken down R6s, GSXR750s, CBR650s, and a CBR600RR. These are all 80-160 pulls, the bigger the bike the faster you'll need to negotiate to come around them

You guys are racing the wrong bikes. Try to race BMW 1000RR and see if you have any chance. Those old technolgy bikes are nowhere near todays technology. However, I do give you guys a lot of credity for beating them.

Today's 600's run mid 10's with a decent rider but can run 10 flat (and rarely high 9's) with someone that knows how to set up their suspension and launch properly. Luckily for us, I'd bet 9.7/10 riders don't know how to ride that hard. Even in a roll-on race, if the rider is in the right gear a modded E would have a hard time pullin away until speeds went above 130 where 600's start to hit a wall because of wind resistance (and the rider's ***** get sucked into his vagina).

Out Of Control!!
My friend had a BMW 1000RR a while ago and he took off so fast it felt like I was in reverse. Rider makes a HUGE difference on bikes as stated before. Even a 600 with a good rider would be a challenge for most E55's

Just for my own personal edification I set up a few runs with my mildly modded E55 against my bone stock V Max. My girl was driving the E and we were on a empty 4 lane road. No matter how we hit it the E was no match, I wasn't surprised as there hasn't been any 4 wheeled vehicle I have gone with that could hold off the Max when it hits 7,000K, its pretty much all over in about 3-4 seconds. All that being said after a couple of hours on the bike I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the E and go fast in comfort.

I agree with what others have said. Modded 55 against older 600s and 750's and you might have a chance, especially if the rider isn't experienced. Get into the liter bikes, Busa's and ZX14's and the chances are slim.
Food for thought:
A bone stock 2013 BMW HP4 ran a 9.54 in the 1/4 as tested by Cycle World. A pro "street" Hayabusa can run 6 seconds at over 200MPH. In comparison, the fastest UGR lamborghini only ran low 8 seconds at 177.
You typically need 1000+ HP to somewhat compete with the bigger bikes.
