Weighed exactly 3700 pounds on the scale after this pass. I will take some weight out this weekend. Not sure how much I want to take out though.
Damn.. It's a bit mind numbing, what you've done here, basically a 55k motor swap coupled to Weistec 2.9 Puffer into a clk55 n/a full weight etc etc.. Lets fast fwd to the obvious, it's 9.9x car after final tune in competent experienced hands.. Quite possibly few tenths lower in perfect air etc ...
Jeez talk about giant killer/ultimate sleepuur, do you realize this run is as fast as a stock Bugatti Veyrone? Your 60mph time must've dipped into 2.5-2.6 second range lol.. This just makes me smile!
In your words "Using a 100k mi junkyard 55k engine"

This is actually a junkyard NA 55 motor that I swapped timing cover/pulleys from a 55k to make the Weistec SC work. The internals are NA 55 AMG. AMG made some stout motors! It's running over double the horsepower intended after 100+k miles of abuse! I remember when people were telling me my motor won't hold past 450whp So much for that myth. People like to make stuff up and become self proclaimed experts

Thanks.
No it does not. Race weight was 3700. I did this on purpose because I knew people were going to claim the car is super light bla bla bla. Well now we will see what it does with some weight out. If I wanted to strip the car it would probably break the current mercedes record

3700 nice, that's a good 500 lighter than an E55.. If you take out some weight there is no doubt you are going 9's Monday.. Is 3700 with driver??

Ok, I am caught up now, I read fastest 55 record and saw it as E55 thinking we were talking about another car.
Actually, a Veyron ran at Palm Beach in south Florida a while back. It did 10.1@139 with only a 1.69 60ft, guy only did 2 runs, first run without launch control, video is on ThatRacingChannel on YouTube.

Here's some video coverage
Thanks
Yea of course. Working on the car now to try to get it in the 9s Monday
Yup.
Cool. I'd love to run a Veyron at the track I never claimed to be faster than any Veyron. If things go well Monday my car should be quicker than that Veyron
Thanks

I've seen 10.1-10.2- on up on the Veyrone I know it's wicked fast/quick & why I brought it up... Point being Ahmad's run was 1 tenth shy of the 10.1 you posted above w/Veyrone's obvious healthier trap speed, Ahmad's run was still highly competitive at 10.23 @ 136+mph.. So why split hairs? After he sheds a couple hundred lb's & finalizes tune & maybe runs ms109 etc etc.. How close will these figures be?
Ya the Bugatti's still King in my book, but how impressive is it to see a 10 odd yr old full weight clk benz running a relatively small 2.9 Weistec Puffer mated to a 100k mi junkyard motor & nearly matching a $1.5-2,000,000.00 Supercar? IE seperated by 1 tenth is a car length at best.. Tell me you wouldn't LOVE to see these 2 cars line up? A great race is a great race..
What's most impressive is Ahmad's not relying on Nitrous to do this & he's just getting started it's a 9 second car it deserves respect plain & simple..
Edit: Veyrone Splits..
Ahmad..
60' 1.555
330' 4.336
1/8 6.616 MPH 107.76
1000' 8.577
1/4 10.235
MPH 136.17
Just visualize the race from these splits, damn Ahmad's better 60' kept him ahead all the way thru the 1/8 & barely edged at the 1000' mark & actually only loosing the 1/4 ET by 6/100th ie less than a tenth.. That's a close race indeed..

[QUOTE=blackbenzz;6013970]Yes and a good 500 more than a vette or a couple thousand lighter than a Hummer Yes 3700 with driver aka race weight.
What does a Vette or a Hummer have to do with anything we're talking about I'm comparing your CLK to an E55 (which is the sub forum you're posting in) so how do you not see the correlation Just asking because I was not sure how much your car or any CLK for that matter weighs..

Congrats again Ahmad. Just keep chipping away. I am hoping you get that 9 sec slip. The mere fact that there is discussions in comparo to the Veyron is mind boggling. . Serious times bro.
