E55 sale feeler
Hey guys I was checking auto trader and saw what some 04-05 e55's are going for today and I do not think most of them will get their asking price. I've had my car since october of 07 when i bought it for $53k as a fully loaded 04 with 19k miles.
The car now has 60k miles and 0 accidents and the cars paint is in very good condition. I have maintained this car from front to back. Spark plugs, control arms, ball joints, gas tank, oil lines, front rotors, brake pads, oil level sensor, motor mounts, tranny mount, battery were all replaced within the past couple months and year.
Car's performance upgrades are:
EC Custom dyno tune
EC supercharger pulley
EC tcu tune
EC heat exchanger
EC mufflers - C63 tips
I also have the CF front spoiler, eurotek diffuser, rear spoiler, hid's top and bottom and a black grill.
I know the performance upgrades adds no value to a dealership and i would never give this car to a dealer anyway. I'd let it rot in my driveway before I give it away to a dealer for nothing. Any opinions or personal experiences recently would be greatly appreciated.

Clean Mod List...while some say mods are worthless for re-sale I think it's very different on these cars as most who are searching for e55's know the mod potential and may want something more turnkey. That is unless the mods are not tasteful.

I've seen them sit on auto trader and craigslist with you same mileage for $20k for months so even with the maintenance and mods I doubt you get 25 so I'd just keep it!

Keep it unless you're ready to "upgraydd". That's the problem with these cars. If someone handed you $20K for it, what in the world would you purchase that has the lux, the performance, and the safety of this car? Nothing.

That's very good point. Even $25K you can't buy anything that you can compare to the E55. Some says CTS-V is getting cheap but still around $30K+ (good condition one not chunk)

Hey keep me in the loop if you plan to do an AMG get together? I'll head over the bridge.
I don't know what would replace the E55, so for now I'd keep it. The new TT's are nice and you don't need to many mods to make them get up and go. (downpipe and tune)
