The c63 bs tips are not attached to the muffler. There part of the bumper.

Meaning? Is it possible to install the mufflers with the E55 tips for a stock look?

I don't see why not but it will take a little fab work. Are they any different than standard c63 coupe mufflers internally? Those almost bolt on with a stock look.

Thanks guys.

Which additional parts can i use more exactly? Resonator? Iīm getting the whole exhaust, hence the question.

The mufflers have to be different since the BS has a even more throatier sound.

I think you would be the first to do it so who knows.

Just a idea, have you tried selling the exhaust system? It may be worth quite a bit of money and then you could buy what ever exhaust system you want.

If you do install it, please post pix and sound clips.

Iīm not sure any other system will have what iīm looking for and besides, i prefer the stock look with the OEM tips.

You will still need to weld on your e55 tips anyways. Just saying.

Why not just use standard c63 mufflers? They have the correct tips already. You may be able to swap someone with a standard c63 your exhaust plus $$ for your system. The standard c63 mufflers are a easy fit, look stock and sound great.

Probably but i think that the sound will be even better with the BS system. And itīs kind a cool to have something thatīs special.

As far as i can tell, the mufflers are similar in design and have the same mounting points.

One other thing struck me. Would it be possible to attach the whole system on the E55? The flow is supposed to be better altogether then an ordinary C63 from what i have been able to read on the forums.

Guess itīs shorter then my stock system but maybe a good shop can make it work?

If you have to have custom piping made for it to fit the E, then the flow will be moot. The only possible advantage will be dependent on the difference in the mufflers.

Thanks. In worst case i will have to chop up both systems. In that case iīm thinking about fitting both the mufflers and the resonator.

Hereīs a pic of the exhaust that i picked up today. Compared to an OEM E55 exhaust below. Never mind the card board box. That wasnīt included.

What do you think would be the best route? Modify the whole system to fit OR just chop it up and fit the mufflers and the resonator?

Borrowed the pic from another thread. Hope itīs ok.

They sure are.

Had the car on the lift today at the exhaust shop. The main issue is that the two pipes coming out of each C63 muffler are pointing in a different direction compared to the E55. This is going to take some modding to make it look right.

heres a pic of the c63 boxes being fitted, they line up fine, although the pipework on the c63 is slightly narrower.

Thanks. Were the mufflers the same size as the E55 ones?

The main issue with my system is the tips. They have to be cut off from the old system, installed on the new mufflers and aligned to look OEM.

I saw on the YT that you didnīt remove your resonator? Or did you install the C63 one? Why did you choose not to remove it completely?

Can a resonator delete negatively impact on the power output?

The E55 mufflers are bigger.
