Meth kit on 04 e55 amg

right, i am thinking of installing a meth kit on my E55, but not sure what effect will it have on my vehicle, or how should it be done.

so, my only mod for now is 78mm sc pulley. without the pulley, with just a tune and good filters, i dynoed 585 hp/ 465whp. now i am not sure, havent been to dyno yet.

as far as i know its installed at the TB.
which kit do you recomend?
is it worth installing?
roughly how much hp gain should i expect?
what about detonation while its not spraying the meth?
how harmfull will that be to the engine?

As said many many threads on this.

You can put 1 nozzle post IC but not too close to the iat sensor

You can put 2. 1 pre blower and 1 post IC

You can also do 2. 1 pre blower and 1 pre IC

You have to make sure the nozzles don't add up to too much volume of meth/water spray.

Also too much meth and you will run rich, too much water and you will bog, so got to find the best balance, some run 50/50 , some run 75/25, it's all testing what's better for your application

If you spray too much meth you will run rich. You can run it off a boost switch or if you get the aquamist you can run it off injector duty cycle. No tuner will tune for meth because if the system fails the ecu will not have enough time to pull timing so you tune first and then use meth/water for cooling

If you tune for it gains can be very good however no tuner will tune for it simply because of the safety issue if something goes wrong with the meth system the ecu won't have enough time to pull timing.

You will be using it to cool the charge so look at it more like keeping power in the higher rpms

Ok correct me if im wrong but wont the ecu adjust the afr accirding to the iat sensor as it will sense lower temps with the meth?

Hence maybe the tune wont be necrssary and if it is how do i do it?
And still in terns of whp roughly what should i exoect


Right niw i am running too reach afr being 10

I checked my iat furing 3 gear pull it peaked at 67 c while outside it was 6 c

During cruise it was 23

So i m guessing the ecu is dumping gas to cool things off in the engine and with meth afr should straighten out

Yes, tune for an afr of 11.5-11.7 without meth, then use meth to cool only

Some use 50/50, some use 70water 30meth
It will depend on your nozzle size. The smaller the nozz the more water you can use. You want enough to cool but not too much to make you rich.

The system you buy will also make a difference. Best system is the aquamist system because it uses injector duty cycle and is the most linear.
